i have longish hair, maybe something like the "long curtain" but i don't really have a hairstyle and i don't know shit about that anyway lol
all i do is use shampoo, conditioner and go to bed with my hair a bit wet to get a few shitty curls since i have wavy hair
honestly i'd cut it but my current job is not client facing so i can get away with long hair, and also watching so many coworkers slowly getting bald makes me appreciate my hair genetics lol

i get a haircut every three months and just have the barber taper the sides down to a #3 and scissor trim the top. i wear kind of a messy side part, i just comb my wet hair with a wide tooth comb and let it air dry. my natural waves come through nicely like this.

I recently started taking care of my hair more. Its thick wavy and kinda dry. Been experimenting with products and discovered that i need to condition more. Leave in conditioner is proving to be very good. Heavy styling products are a no go. Just using some light styling cream after conditoner.

What's the best way to get rid of knots in my hair? I have Long CURLY ASF and and VERY porous hair (floats even after soaking for hours in water). The knots happen at the very tail end. My brother tells me to just cut the knots off with scissors, but I don't know how to feel about that.
