divide the living room in half with a Kallax, put the stuff where it fits. simple as.

Don't need to. I am living in council housing so I've got an entire house. There's an entire attic I don't use and a second bed chamber I barely use. It's a good life, except being unable to do renovations means I will never have a sitting pit.
When I was in student housing I saved space by putting closers next to the bed and entering from the front, using wall/vertical space for storage, and having multi use appliances and furniture. Above all, you need to declutter. Storage is secondary, if the room feels like it might have a bit too much stuff thats an indicator you already have way too much stuff.

I’m ngl bros as a 30 something single guy I sometimes regret falling for curb appeal interior decor meme. I should’ve just spent all my money on a bigger plot of land and built a barndominum. I could’ve combined my kitchen, my dining room, my living room, and my garage all into one giant room and have been more than happy. Instead I bought a craftsman on an acre and I’m playing keeping up with the Joneses here like a kept husband even though I’m not even married.

I don't get the appeal of very period-specific homes. Like living in a victorian home or an MCM "masterpiece". Like it's very cool, yes. The craftsmanship is there, but do YOU really want to be the one living in it? Do you really want to slavishly match everything you own to that era? It's 2025. You have a 4K TV and use a smartphone. It just seems very inconvenient day to day, to have to commit to a LARP like that.

I have no idea where to ask this and the only people I know to ask are people on 4chan, but do you guys know where I can get a decent L shaped sectional that's actually comfy and not just a design piece for a reasonable amount of money?
