I'm autistic--about jeans, and in general.
So choosing the right type of jean is very difficult for me. I like vtg 517s, but they're also a bit too spacious. I have a five pocket RRL which have become increasingly baggy but used to wear quite well and are still my go to even though they increasingly make me look like a homeless faggot because the ass and knees are so saggy.
I like a straight leg and I went a slim-er fit, but not a slim fit. I want to give the idea of slimming down without wearing pants which show my large thighs and calves (from cycling and prior powerlifting). The Wrangler on the other hand is already a little too slim after a wash. I own a piece and it has a good great shape--maybe a bit too country, but the quality just kills them for me. I never wear them because they don't fit with anything I wear.
I have slim, toned legs with a muscular physique, but I can't wear slim pants which fit my generally toned build because they make my legs look like weiners. The same reason I often can't wear a 38R/48R often and why baggy-er 48s still look awkward while the 50 is too long.
What the hell do I do? I don't want the denim head physique. I want the: fits with my western boots and can be worn in a city, make me look comfortable, effortless but still clean. No denim I have found to this day has checked this box. I feel like this would be a regular straight leg jean by a brand which generally makes slimmer jeans. And then I size up in raw before washing. But who the hell makes such a jean?
