It would be less embarrassing if he wore those clothes during the right season. Nobody wears a three piece suit AND an overcoat when it's not winter. It clearly doesn't seem like it's winter where he is, going by the guy dressed in just a polo shirt and jeans. That's why it looks like a larpy costume. the thing with that kind of oufit is that you dont look nice, you look like a cosplayer, if you dont have all the things that could complement the image you are trying to show, like a car, a mansion, your attitude, money, etc, then you are a cosplayer, you dont look good portraying an early XX century british guy if you arent one.

I'm a NEET and sometimes I wear a suit for fun. I've noticed people treat me a lot better when I'm wearing a suit. I just go to the city and walk around and have lunch at nice restaurant and maybe stop at a bar for a beer. I want to buy a suit with a medium gorge lapel (I don't like high gorges like on my jacket) but they're so hard to find now. Every suit that doesn't cost a lot is either high gorge or has really thin lapels.
