If you live in the american paper houses, that's an atrocious price, kill them and do it yourself.If you live in a european house made of brick and stone, that's still overpriced, but doing it yourself is a pain because you'll have to create a channel in the wall and need the equipment to do so.

Adding a new socket to my parent's house was literally my first DIY job as a teen. I got pretty lucky and was able to avoid drilling a hole in the studs though.
