if u have a harbor freight near you then pic related tests better than all leading batteries and cost a fraction of the price. make sure you get the ones that say "edge" because the regular thunderbolts suck.

The most powerful (higher capacity), the better (price/performance), regardless of use case.
Unfortunately, they won't tell their capacity (unless they're rechargeable)

Also, OP, if you're near an IKEA, they carry some good performance to value NiMH. They probably sell chargers for them too, but I use one I bought from Aliexpress that has single channel charging and can charge lithiums too. It even has a battery tester mode that I've never tried.

I always get energized max. There are afew lithium batteries that are supposed to be good. The project farm guy reviewed a bunch of those. He's always yelling though.Energizer ultimate lithium is gonna one of the best AA batteries you can get. Its handy for high performance say flashlights left in cars at freezing temperatures. Its high dollar fancy stuff though. Most of the time i don't use that.

The batteries all come out of the same factory, the only difference is quality control, so the best ones become duracell and the shit ones are white labeled to the dollar store

These green duracell rechargeables are the absolute best. They have a higher capacity than most other rechargable nimh batteries. Only issue is that they are very slightly larger than a standard AA battery (probably has something to do with the higher capacity) so they're a tight fit in some devices. Like in my mouse I have to pry them out with a pen because it's too tight to do it with my fingernail.2nd choice would be the black eneloop pro batteries.

Costco's Kirkland AA+ batteries. Good old fashioned alkalines with 12 year shelf life. Costs $15.99 CAD. Shit doesn't leak like Duracells. Have never in my entire existence had a Kirkland battery leak in anything, but sure as shit Duracell will eventually leak and fuck up your stuff.

Sorry everyone ITT is gay OP. I use EBL batteries. They're cheap and good for the price. You could look into that and get the charger + batteries for pretty cheap. I like the one with the cover so that I don't have to worry about dust collecting in the bottom of it.
