My washer from the 90's failed and I dropped the timer (most expensive) while dissambling and figuring it out, causing it to break. Found another washer for free, works, better than nothing. But the amount of bullshit involved with it...

>Put it on "deep water wash" but it still only fills half full
>Auto sensing
>Stops filling when you open the lid
>Won't spin at all with the lid open
What the fuck is this shit? I know how dirty it is, I know how much soap I put in, I know what I want. I set it to deep water wash, so fucking do it. Fill all the way goddamn it. It fills to half. Half. I said full, you stupid fuck. Occasionally end up filling it manually with a bucket.
Is this really how bad it's gotten? My old one had a dial. If you set it to full, it filled to full. Period. Very straightforward. You pull on the dial, it starts working. There was no start button. There was no auto sensing. It didn't do any of this shit. What the fuck is wrong with this world. I have no control over this thing and have to fight with it to have it doing what it needs to.

When the control panel on my top loader died I called a couple guys in and they drilled a hole on top then installed some off brand mechanical timer. That worked for a couple years until I decided to get a new washer.
Maybe you could do the same.

Stupid freezer won’t stop making ice cubes. I have made sure the sensor bar thing is in the right position, but my guess is the electronic switch crapped out and whoever designed this thing had it fail on. I have to throw out multiple full buckets of ice a day otherwise my floor will get covered with ice cubes the next time I want to thaw out some hamburger for dinner.
