A bunch of very good discussions ITT. One aspect that I explored last thread is the anthropological mythology of a heavily Misandrist-Matriarchal culture, and specifically what myths can enforce beliefs of female supremacy and male inferiority. One creation myth that is pretty well fleshed out in my head involves females being create directly by and in the image of God, while males are "Golems", created by females purely for their own needs. After the Gods created the Universe she created human beings, all female, in his own image, and they lived for however long in harmony with the will of God and the natural order. However humanity would become lonely, and eventually a woman would mold a figure out of mud/clay and breathe life into it, creating the first male. Males would serve females just as females serve the Gods, however after a time males would grow resentful of the status quo and would seek to supplant the natural order, however owing to their stunted nature brought on from the circumstances of their creation, would sow chaos into the fabric of the universe, introducing sickness, pain, suffering and sin and the world as it currently exists. From this story, women would come to believe that males are inherently inferior to females, men are responsible for everything negative in the world, and most importantly the prospect of the liberation of males is an exisential threat to society. Women woudl believe that the more males would rebel against their female creators, the more chaos would appear, and whever a major drought/flood/earthquake/famine would appear, society would take its anger out on boys. Boys would from the moment of their birth be judged and rewarded by submission to the women in their lives, and those who serve their husbands would be cherished by their women more than anything in the world, however every woman would share a deep distrust of boys, and resent their own extremely powerful physiological need for their approval.
