So I thought I'd dump my ideas as I've written earlier in . Currently I only have a 3k words draft cooked up which I'll post in AO3 once I'm done with it, but basically the setting is like this:

>the makai as a realm is on a collision course with our realm (modern earth) due to some central backstory incident or shit

>the cast of magical girls are called Correctors, whose jobs is to send these creatures back to makai by portal magic after disabling them, this slows down the collision.
>the catch is that modern earth has no magical energy at all, while makai is aflush with it, so the only way the Correctors can recharge their powers is by being connected to makai in some form.
>some exposition about how magic is channeled through emotions and shit means they need to have sex with monsters to recharge
>early plot is about the cast fighting the creatures and sending them back to makai, while progressing the sexual corruption of the main cast.
>later plot is about them going to makai to investigate the truth of the collision event and maybe stop it (and get fucked, by this point they'll have enough encounters to come to enjoy monster sex)

I originally made this whole general because this artist set off my imagination hard with his previous work. I want a version of that A/B/O shit where the designations actually produce meaningful sub-genders, and aren't just the male/female binary with different words.
Males are still males, females are still females, both genders still have nearly all of their secondary sexual characteristics and are visually a binary with their clothes on. A male of any designation is still obviously male, any female is obviously female, and a male can only reproduce with a female.
But they can only reproduce with the corresponding designation, not just any female - male As realistically can only reproduce with female Os, males Bs with female Bs, and male Os with female As. The designations all have minor to major differences in their genital anatomy that makes reproduction natural if you're compatible but unattractive, difficult, and/or physically impossible if you're not. It's not just a lazy reimagined binary, there now exists a notable portion of the population that you're neither sexually competitive with nor sexually interested in (unless you're a fag).
