Hickman's Fantastic Four was his only good run on a comic ever. It was the only time he actually committed and stuck to an idea and didn't have the characters do stuff that's reprehensible and violently out of character for shock value. Hickman sucks but this was pretty okay.

I feel like part of Hickman's problem is that whenever he was on something he was basically trying to turn it all into an event but with F4 he was just writing F4.

The ending is a mess but overall it was a great run and it sticks the landing.

I liked his Avengers, but as a Avengers story is bad.

Fantastic Four is objectively his best work. I think opening his run with Reed questioning why he’s been deferring to other’s judgement and decision-making when he’s the smartest man in the world is a fun moral quandary. It’s conclusion feels more concise despite the Council not doing much beyond the initial arc. The vast majority of Hickman’s other comics just feel like he “gives up” in the third act. X-Men and East of West are the biggest culprits. Manhattan Projects he gives up halfway through and Ultimate Spider-Man he gives up a third of the way through.

New Avengers is at least kind of interesting funny-bad at some points Great Society and all the Namor/Panther stuff was legitimately good the annual, too, but that’s it
