Well yeah, I'm not gonna play something that's not fun, but I'm interested in it as something more than just a game. It's like a social experiment. Unless I'm wrong, it's the first of a kind. There are of course all sorts of games for all sorts of people, but they are niche games that target a small subset of people. This, being a mobile gacha game, is trying to appeal to the masses. This would make it the first mainstream game to feature an all-male cast where the looks and personality of the characters are the main selling points and which is not "for women." I'm curious to see how it will be received at large. News about it often seems to be met with confusion, bewilderment and a show of disgust (le underage) in English-speaking communities. Some are unable to comprehend why a game like this should exist or who the target audience is. I remember someone saying that there aren't enough female shotacon for this to be success (or something similar), believing it to be a game for women for no reason other than because it has an all-male cast. It is sure to bring culture shock to many westerners after release.... In Asian communities, the response was expectedly more positive and mature.I loathe gacha and I can't remember the last time I played a mobile game, but I'm willing to make an exception for this one.
