Tbf the majority of anime cosplay are technically of characters who are minors. My picrel is Anya, a cosplay you see in conventions, and that character is literally SIX YEARS OLD lol. I've seen 30 year old women cosplay her.You just have to follow 2 rules: 1- don't give pedo vibes 2- somewhat look the part (you dont want to be the Kratos guy with 0 muscles). In this case no facial hair, etc. If you put minimum amount of effort literally nobody is going to judge you.

What other people have said, it doesn't matter too much. Lots of people cosplay as younger characters. When I 'forced' my 14 year old little sister to cosplay Rin Kokonoe one time for an anime convention, while I was looking up other girls' cosplays of her, I found they were mostly in their 20's.
