My gf really likes doing couples cosplay but the couples cosplay she picked out was a little too much of a surprise I think. She wanted to do bowsette / booette, but the dress she lent me was a little too large and the accessories were a little closet. I had fun but dating other women with the same nerdy interests seems to trigger in me some kind of undocumented foid neurosis.

I'm 38 and finally got it together. Finally on all the meds I need to function, my body would impress my teenage self, about to finish trade school, been going to all kinds of events marketing myself so I have clients lined up when I get my license, even going to little micro cons around to the point where people recognize me and wave me over to chat. Even doing things I always wanted to do like fly across the country just to hang out with friends at a con.every day i do the fun things i've always wanted to do I feel a deep sadness. a sense of mourning. I shake it off but it always happens. I lost most of my life to physical and mental health issues. I never had the money to do anything I wanted because I was too physically fatigued or mentally unable to hold jobs for very long.I'm going to see some friends soon and I'm overjoyed about it. I love them so much. but there's still a sense of bitterness. If only I met these people sooner. If only I had an adult in my life that cared for me maybe they could have helped me avoid losing 20+ years of my life to sludge. I'm happy I escaped NEET prison, I'm lucky to come out of it well adjusted thanks to a loving patient gf keeping me sane. but having 20 years amputated leaves a deep scar. the phantom pain of years lost, of what could have been starts screaming at times.

I swear, if you are normal weight, have a slightly defined stomach and you are tall, you will almost get sexually harassed as a guy at a large enough cosplay gather.
