So basically at the end they make a big deal about friendship between Jim and John Silver, but he's essentially an alien, and there are so many aliens in the movie, so who knows what they really mean, the movie is contradictory, because on one hand they're saying it doesn't matter, things like friendship prevail against differences like being an entirely different species and in the world of Treasure Planet, you have to accept that, you have to accept that humans are outnumbered.But really I think what they're getting at is that there are too many aliens

Some more thoughts:it goes along with neo-liberalism, that generally I am not sure how true this is, but my whole life, I have been treated like and given the impression that I have to be on the 3rd world's side, that I am in the same predicament, that I am essentially in some kind of "recession" and that is true because there's been less opportunities for me as a whole, there's little escaping poverty for me and if I do have a job, then I had to work like a Mexican day laborer or some shit totally third world that's what it felt like growing up my entire life, like I was in some type of harsh recession but not only that, I was in the third world practically. That's what it felt like, like the dirty 30s, third world all that stuff.And then I think, is the idea or sentiment regarding "living off the land" and all that stuff, should I really be on the 3rd worlds side? do I really want to be on their side? do I have any choice? because the question more than anything I guess, does the third world really want their freedom? I guess. I am wondering if I should be for the "booms" instead, if that is more my way. Well, that's the thing, the 3rd world just seems to be mired neo-liberal policies and I don't really want anything to do with neo-liberalism for sure.How do you know that if you have some kind of revolution, that the rest of the world is not just going to try and do something like the Soviet Union? which is very similar to neo-liberal ideas, how do you avoid that?can you actually instill and have a real revolution WITHOUT starting a world war? that's the biggest question
