Why do salt water fish mog fresh water fish?
What's the advantage to look like a 1/10 instead of a 10/10 just because the water is a bit too spicy

There's a lot less poisonous fresh water fish in general. Normally you only see the color show on animals that are poisonous.

Reef fish need to either blend in or stand out against some very brightly colored corals, sponges, and anemones.
