Never read or watched Tarzan. My understanding is only through what I’ve seen online. Do they explain why a baby raised by chimps can speak English or doesn’t die of the hundreds of diseases that monkeys go through?

Monkeys are dumb as shit. Tarzan’s exploits in the books are peak fiction because you have someone raised by chimps abandoning everything about his origin to end up as an abnormally strong but otherwise normal human. It’s the same as super soldier serum capeshitters love. The degree of superhuman ability depends on whatever the writer wants in any given scenario.
