Nope, instinctual flesh robots. There's a reason kittens all have unique silly personalities and then as soon as they reach adulthood they factory reset to the domestic cat default, the instincts kick in and there's just nothing left.

Cats are just little bundles of reflexes and muscle memory, there's nothing going on in their little walnuts at all beyond "meow for food" and "look at squirrel"

I bought my cat one of those puzzle feeders today and she just gripped one of the cups in her mouth and whipped the puzzle around like a lion trying to kill a gazelle until the food fell out. She seems pleased, however.
